Manna Specialty Bakery
The name of the bakery which I have interviewed is, Manna Specialty Bakery, located at the Esteban Abada Street Quezon City. The bakeshop itself is not as big as the other bakeshops the we normally see around the corner of the barangay, it’s just as big as a 2 bedroom bakery. The biggest difference that I have noticed within the shop is that it is being operated by the mother and the daughter since they both love baking.
It's a good thing that my mother, Mrs. Helen J. Mangubat, knew the owner of this bakery if she didn't I would've answered this with a blank page. The first time I visited this, well I was kind of confused since it did not have any advertisements to point out where the bakery is, good thing that she mentioned that the bakery was a block near Ateneo De Manila University.
By the time I have visited their bakery, I started interviewing the mother who ran that said bakery in Esteban Abada Street Quezon City. Her name is Elena Laguine and she is one of mom's dealers.
The owner said that the type of establishment is a bakery and it bakes Artisanal Breads (which means the traditional way, no inhibitors, no additives and no preservatives). She mentioned a couple of products that they bake. She mentioned baking Ciabatta, Foccacia, French Bread, Baguette, Country Bread and as well as Buttercakes which are quite famous around her street. She also said that to improve her bakery, she must introduce new products that would create a niche market. She too mentioned that this could put her bakery ahead of the other commercialized bakeshops.
Here are some example products that my mom and I ordered:
This is the Ciabatta Bread and as well as home made dog cookies which Elena's daughter made specially for me since we ordered so much.
This is the French Bread and the Cupcakes with icings that we got when we ordered them.
I wish her for the success of her bakeshop to have more costumers and will have more branches in the Philippines. She's a very good and passionate person about everything and same as her daughter. I really do hope that she finds peace and success in what they do for the community and the whole society.
